Spotify will add an “AI Persona” badge to profiles whose public identities may be AI-generated and do not represent real people. The badge will appear on profiles, searches and playlist tracks, while flagged artists will be excluded from personalized recommendations unless a user already follows them. The policy concerns an artist’s public identity, not whether AI tools assisted human-made music. Spotify will review suspected profiles, give artists a chance to disclose or appeal, and distinguish self-declared cases from its own findings.
