Google introduced a Live Avatar feature for Gemini 3.8 Live that gives its conversational AI an animated face capable of lip-syncing and changing expressions in real time. Google says the feature can operate across 97 supported languages without reducing video fidelity or introducing visual drift, and that organizations can either select preset avatars or create their own. The feature is currently limited to Gemini Enterprise customers and includes an invisible SynthID watermark.
