Chinese DRAM manufacturer CXMT said its fifth-generation memory-chip technology platform had entered mass production. The company said its new mobile-memory components hold 50 percent more data than comparable earlier products and that the manufacturing platform can produce at least 50 percent more dies per wafer. If the claims hold at commercial scale, the advance could strengthen CXMT's position against Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and other established memory suppliers.
