Berea College said it will cover tuition, housing, food and mandatory fees without requiring student loans for every admitted student beginning in the fall 2027 semester. Its Financial Freedom Pledge combines institutional funds with grants and scholarships, which the college values at more than $285,000 over four years. The program expands the tuition-free model of a college that admits only students with high academic potential and limited financial resources.
