Apple Music will open a 600-capacity concert hall beneath its European headquarters at London’s Battersea Power Station. Major artists, new bands and one-off acts will perform there, with shows filmed and streamed live. The facility also includes radio studios, rehearsal rooms, DJ and writing spaces, and a configurable 38-foot stage. Apple says it is not trying to compete with independent venues, but the announcement comes after 45 London venues closed in a single year and roughly 400 British clubs shut from 2020 through 2025.
